Iron ore inventories at 42 Chinese ports surveyed by U-Metal fell by 2.5 Mt week-on-week to 122.0 Mt on 28 February — the lowest level since September 2019. Stockpiles declined from a recent peak of 125.6 Mt on 7 February, with last Friday’s weekly change the largest drawdown since mid-August 2019.
