Chinese Iron Ore Port Stocks Extend Decline

Chinese iron ore inventories at 42 ports surveyed by U-Metal decreased by 1.1 Mt week-on-week to just shy of 121 Mt on 6 March, extending four weeks in a row of falls. Stockpiles last Friday were at the lowest level since late September 2019.

By contrast iron ore stocks at the same ports were at 144.1 Mt on 1 March 2019.
