Japanese Iron Ore Imports Fall

Japanese iron ore imports fell by 2.1% year-on-year to 9.5 Mt in February, according to provisional finance ministry data. Shipments have now fallen on an annual basis in twelve of the last sixteen months.

Meanwhile, receipts of manufactured iron and steel products declined to 0.6 Mt last month (-21.7% on the year).
