Turkish steam coal imports posted annual gains for a fourth month in a row, rising by 0.5 Mt to 3.3 Mt in January, according to data collected by IHS. Receipts of Colombian steam coal increased by 0.7 Mt year-on-year to 1.8 Mt in January, while imports of Russian product rose by 0.4 Mt to 1.4 Mt.

Turkey’s coking coal imports also moved higher, with 0.4 Mt received in January (+0.2 Mt year-on-year).
