China Adds Tariffs to Australian Barley Imports

China has announced anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties totalling 80.5% on Australian barley imports that will apply from 19 May, Reuters reports. These tariffs, which include duties of 73.6% and an anti-subsidy duty of 6.9%, will remain in place for five years.

Australia exported just over 1 Mt of barley to China in the twelve months to March 2020, according to the International Grains Council.
