Chinese crude imports rebound to 9.87M b/d in April

Chinese crude imports grew by 160K b/d m-o-m to 9.87M b/d in April, despite plummeting by 800K b/d m-o-m in March, China customs data shows. While still down by 800K b/d from April last year, the recovering imports indicate a gradual recovery of demand and economic activity since the worst of the coronavirus outbreak in January and February.
