Earthquake Due to Mining Recorded in Sweden

Sweden reported its biggest earthquake caused by mining on 18 May at state-run firm LKAB’s Kiruna iron ore mine, Reuters reports. The Kiruna mine produced 14.7 Mt of iron ore products last year and will be closed until further notice.

Sweden exported 22.4 Mt of iron ore in 2019.
