Japan crude imports flat in April

Japan’s customs-cleared crude oil imports fell 6.3% y-o-y to 3.1M b/d in April, according to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance, reported Reuters. Meanwhile, Japanese refiners have received increased cuts to their June loading crude supply from the Middle East, as OPEC producers attempt to balance the global supply against the reduced demand experienced during the coronavirus pandemic, newswires report.
