Queensland Coal Exports Fall in April

Combined coal throughput in April at the main Queensland ports of Abbot Point, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, Gladstone and Hay Point declined by 0.8 Mt year-on-year to a 14-month low of 16.4 Mt, according to port authority data.
Shipments from Gladstone and Dalrymple Bay fell to 5.4 Mt (-0.8 Mt year-on-year) and 4.3 Mt (-0.7 Mt), respectively, last month. Total coal exports from Hay Point inched up by 0.1 Mt to 3.8 Mt, while those from Abbot Point gained to 2.9 Mt (+0.6 Mt).
