Shell to close Tabangao refinery
Oil
Shell’s Philippine affiliate Pilipinas Shell Petroleum (PSPC) has announced that it will suspend operations at its 110K b/d Tabangao refinery for a month starting from mid-May, due to a significant decline in demand for oil products, Reuters reports. Tabangao is one of two refineries in the Philippines, and the PSPC has stated that it will use the shutdown as an opportunity to ‘conduct proactive maintenance’, with an aim to resume operations should demand and market operations improve.
