Indonesian coal exports (including lignite) tumbled 7.5 Mt year-on-year to 28.6 Mt in August, the lowest since June 2017, data from Bank Indonesia reveal. Loadings in January-August dropped 36.6 Mt to 268.3 Mt.

The country’s bauxite shipments rose to 1.7 Mt in August (+0.5 Mt), while year-to-date exports increased 4.7 Mt to 14.3 Mt.
