Japanese Crude Steel Output Drops in September

Japanese crude steel production fell to 6.5 Mt in September, down 19.3% year-on-year and marking a seventh month in a row of decline, according to the Japan Iron and Steel Federation. However, daily output of 0.22 Mt/day edged up 3.9% from August.
At just shy of 19.0 Mt, 3q20 production was down 22.7% on the year.
