Libya lifts force majeure on Ras Lanuf and Es Sider ports
Oil
Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) has now lifted force majeure on exports from the Es Sider and Ras Lanuf ports, adding that the country’s crude oil output is now set to rise to 800K b/d within two weeks, and 1M b/d in four weeks, Reuters report. Force majeure has been in place on the ports since the Libyan National Army (LNA) imposed an oil blockade in January, but has now been lifted following a meeting between representatives of the LNA and the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA), in which an agreement to come to a ‘permanent ceasefire in all areas of Libya’ has been signed.
