US Gulf of Mexico crude oil production reduced ahead of Hurricane Zeta

Oil

Around 290K b/d of US Gulf of Mexico crude oil output has been forced offline due to the increasing threat posed by Hurricane Zeta, which is due to make landfall in Louisiana on Wednesday, according to the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). If Zeta follows the currently predicted pathway it will be the 11th named hurricane to have made a US landfall across the span of a single season, a record number. The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) has issued a hurricane watch from Morgan City in Louisiana to the Mississippi-Alabama border.
