Chinese Industrial Profits Rise in August

Chinese industrial profits gained by 19.1% year-on-year to 612.8 billion yuan in August, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show. However, this annual growth rate eased by 0.5 percentage points from July.

Industrial profits in the first eight months of 2020 declined 4.4%, narrowing from a drop of 8.1% in January-July.
