Port Hedland Iron Ore Exports Extend Rise

Port Hedland iron ore exports gained 0.6 Mt year-on-year to 46.1 Mt in August, data from the Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) show. Shipments to China climbed by 2.0 Mt, offsetting a fall in combined exports to Japan and South Korea (-1.2 Mt to 5.1 Mt). Total loadings grew 19.4 Mt to 360.6 Mt in the first eight months of 2020.
