Taiwanese Coal Imports Fall in July

Taiwanese coal imports dropped 1.7 Mt year-on-year to 4.9 Mt in July, according to data gathered by IHS. Receipts from Australia and Indonesia declined by 0.7 Mt and 0.8 Mt to 2.4 Mt and 1.2 Mt, respectively. Taiwan’s overall imports tumbled to 36.3 Mt in January-July (-3.1 Mt), a decade low for the period.
