Western European HRB Price Surges

The Western European domestic hot-rolled band (HRB) price climbed $85/t in the three weeks to 14 September to $575/t, the highest level since April 2019, according to the latest SteelBenchmarker from World Steel Dynamics.
The US HRB price gained $57/t during the same period to $595/t, although it remains below the year-ago mark. The Chinese HRB price inched up $2/t to the highest level since May 2019 at $488/t on 14 September.
