Queensland Coal Exports Fall On Year

Volumes of coal leaving key Queensland ports of Abbot Point, Dalrymple Bay, Gladstone and Hay Point in March retreated to 15.9 Mt compared with 16.5 Mt a year earlier, port authority data showed.

However, Gladstone hit a three-month high of 6.1 Mt, even as volumes bound for China remained absent.

For 1q21, total volumes from the four terminals reached 47.7 Mt compared with 51.6 Mt a year earlier.
