Canada 1h21 Coking Coal Exports Fall

Canada’s 1h21 coking coal exports (excluding cargoes to the US) fell by 4.4 Mt year-on-year to 13.7 Mt on the back of steep declines in shipments to India, Japan and South Korea.

However, for June, Coking coal exports from Canada in June reached 2.4 Mt, up slightly from 2.3 Mt a year earlier, data from IHS showed.

China was the main recipient of Canadian coking coal in June, with volumes reaching 0.9 Mt compared with 0.2 Mt a year earlier, as Australian coal continues to be absent from Chinese customs data.
