Chinese Coking Coal Imports by Source

China’s three largest sources of coking coal imports in July were Canada, the US and Russia, data from IHS showed.

Russia was the largest origin, with volumes reaching a monthly record high of 1.2 Mt, up from 0.5 Mt last July.

Canada contributed 0.9 Mt. Meanwhile 0.6 Mt was sourced from the US, from zero in the same month last year.

In addition, volumes from Indonesia reached 0.3 Mt, up from 0.1 Mt in July last year.
