India’s gasoline demand above pre-COVID levels

Indian gasoline demand rose by 39K b/d m-o-m and 102K b/d y-o-y to 724K b/d in July, according to data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC). Gasoline demand surpassed pre-COVID levels by 29K b/d, when compared to July 2019 as lockdowns and travel restrictions began to ease, Argus reported. Meanwhile, total CPP demand fell by 1% m-o-m to 2.64M b/d with diesel demand down 70K b/d m-o-m to 1.50M b/d in July.
