At 44.3 Mt, iron ore throughput at Port Hedland in July fell to the lowest level in five months, port data showed. However, volumes were up marginally on the year-ago level of 43.6 Mt. At 314.2 Mt, January-July exports were almost unchanged year-on-year.

For Dampier, July throughput reached 10.3 Mt, down from 12.5 Mt in the same month last year.
