US Coal Exports in October

US coal exports (excluding Canada) climbed to 6.1 Mt in October, up 2.0 Mt year-on-year, data from the National Mining Association reveal. The increase featured a 1.2 Mt gain in steam coal exports to 2.6 Mt, while coking coal shipments reached 3.6 Mt, up 0.8 Mt year-on-year.

At 61.0 Mt, total coal exports over January-October were 14.0 Mt above the corresponding period last year.
