Indian Crude Steel Production Climbs

Preliminary data from the Joint Plant Committee (JPC) reveal that Indian crude steel output rose by 0.7 Mt year-on-year in January to 10.0 Mt, the highest level since March 2019, IHS reports. After four successive quarters of decline Indian steel production returned to growth in the 4q20 with output rising by 5.4% to 28.8 Mt.
