Thailand’s crude oil imports fall in January

Thailand’s crude oil imports declined by 210K b/d m-o-m and 170K b/d y-o-y to 790K b/d in January, after previously rising to an eight-month high in December, according to data from Thailand’s customs department. Total imports from the Middle East fell by 120K b/d m-o-m and 80K b/d y-o-y to 400K b/d, with loadings from the UAE tumbling by 150K b/d to 120K b/d, the lowest level since May 2020. Arrivals from West Africa increased by 40K b/d to 130K b/d however, a five-month high.
