Vietnam’s steel imports rose by 28.3% year-on-year in January to 1.2 Mt, data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs reported by SteelOrbis reveal. The rise was driven by a jump in shipments from China (+196.4% to 0.5 Mt). Meanwhile, the country’s scrap imports increased by 20.0% annually to 0.4 Mt.
