CISA Crude Steel Output Holds Steady

Member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) produced 2.16 Mt/day of crude steel in the final 11 days of December 2020, industry group data reveal. This softened 1.76% from the previous ten-day period and slipped from a record 2.20 Mt/day in early December. Nevertheless, output was stronger on the year, as December 2019 production averaged below 2 Mt/day.
