Colombian Steam Coal Exports Drop in November

Colombian steam coal exports tumbled to 2.8 Mt in November from nearly 7.2 Mt in the same month of 2019, data collected by IHS show. Loadings eased less than 0.1 Mt on the month but were slightly above September’s 18-year low. Shipments to European and Mediterranean countries dropped to 1.4 Mt in November (-3.4 Mt year-on-year) and those to the Americas declined to 1.1 Mt (-1.3 Mt). Meanwhile, exports to Asia fell to a one-year low of 0.3 Mt. Total loadings shed 21.8 Mt to 48.3 Mt in January-November 2020.
