Indian refinery runs post first year-on-year increase since February

Indian crude oil refinery throughput edged up by 50K b/d y-o-y to 4.97M b/d in December, rising on a yearly basis for the first time since February, according to Reuters reporting on provisional government data. Refinery input declined by 110K b/d m-o-m however, after previously rising for three consecutive months to an eight-month high in November as fuel demand and economic activity picked up amidst a gradual recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
