China’s refinery throughput jumps to fresh record high

China’s crude oil refinery inputs shot up by 560K b/d m-o-m and 720K b/d y-o-y to 14.86M b/d in June, rising for the third consecutive month to reach a fresh record high, according to data from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics. Throughput has continued to be boosted as additional refineries have resumed operations following scheduled maintenance, Reuters report. Across 1H21 China’s refinery inputs totalled 353.4MT (or 14.07M b/d), which is 10.7% higher than the same period last year.
