Colombian Coal Exports in June

Colombian steam coal exports climbed by 1.4 Mt year-in-year in June to reach 5.1 Mt, the second-highest level for monthly shipments since April 2020, data from IHS reveal. Exports to European and Mediterranean destinations reached a 16-month high of 2.7 Mt, while shipments to the Americas were up 0.8 Mt annually at 1.9 Mt.

Despite recent gains, total shipments in the 1h21 were still 4.7 Mt below the corresponding period in 2020 at 27.3 Mt.
