Gladstone Coal Exports Hit 17-Month High

Total coal exports from the Port of Gladstone reached 6.7 Mt in June, the highest level since January 2020 when throughput was 6.9 Mt, and up from 6.2 Mt in the same month last year, official port data showed.  

Japan was the largest recipient of coal in June with 2.5 Mt. India and South Korea were the next largest destinations with 1.5 Mt registered for each.
