Port Hedland June Iron Ore Throughput

At 50.4 Mt, Port Hedland iron ore throughput reached a year-to-date high in June, although was still 1.4 Mt below the year-ago level, port authority data reveal. The drop was driven by a 4.2 Mt fall in shipments to China to 42.0 Mt, while exports to Japan and Taiwan were up year-on-year.

Total throughput in the first half of the year totalled 269.9 Mt, 0.9 Mt below the corresponding period in 2020.
