Russia May Coal Exports

Total coking and steam coal (including lignite and anthracite) exports from Russia in May reached 18.6 Mt, up from 17.1 Mt in the same month last year (including overland shipments), data from IHS show.

For steam coal, China was the largest recipient with 3.6 Mt registered, up from 2.8 Mt last May. Total steam coal exports hit 16.2 Mt, up from 15.1 Mt a year earlier. 

Coking coal exports in May reached 2.4 Mt, up from 2.0 Mt in May last year, with China again receiving the greatest share at 0.5 Mt, up from 0.3 Mt last year.
