Vietnam’s steel imports reached 0.9 Mt in July, bringing the year-to-date total to 8.0 Mt, 1.2% below the corresponding period in 2020, data from SteelOrbis reveal. At 4.0 Mt, shipments from China over the first seven months of 2021 grew by 61.6% year-on-year and accounted for more than half of Vietnamese steel imports.
