Vietnamese steel production climbed by 31.0% year-on-year in June to 2.6 Mt, although were down 12.2% on the previous month, according to SteelOrbis.

Meanwhile, the country’s steel exports in June were double the corresponding month last year at 0.6 Mt. Shipments in the 1h21 reached 3.4 Mt, up 84.4% year-on-year.  

Production and sales in June 2020 were negatively impacted by Covid-related disruption.
