Brazilian Steel Output Hits 31-Month High

At 3.2 Mt, Brazilian crude steel production rose 40.1% year-on-year to reach the highest level since October 2018, data from Brazil’s Steel Institute show. Production in May 2020 was curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Output in January-May reached 14.9 Mt, up 20.3% year-on-year.
