Indonesian coal exports (including lignite) reached 33.1 Mt in April, up by 1.5 Mt year-on-year, data from Bank Indonesia show.

This brings total coal exports in the January-April period to 139.6 Mt, down from 146.8 Mt a year earlier owing to lower exports in February and March.

Elsewhere, April bauxite exports reached 1.2 Mt, down 0.8 Mt year-on-year to bring total exports in the four months January-April to 4.1 Mt versus 7.0 Mt a year earlier.
