South African Chrome and Manganese Ore Exports

Combined seaborne manganese ore and chrome ore exports from South Africa reached 2.9 Mt in April, a six-month high and up sharply from 0.8 Mt in the same month last year, official customs data showed.

Manganese ore exports came in at 1.9 Mt with chrome ore volumes totalling 1.0 Mt.

Total exports in the January-April reached 10.7 Mt, up from 8.7 Mt last year.
