Turkish Steel Scrap Imports

At 2.0 Mt, Turkish steel scrap imports in May fell to a four-month low in May but were still up by 0.8 Mt on the year, official customs data showed.

Monthly imports have consistently reached 2 Mt or higher since November last year, with a record high of 2.5 Mt reached in April.

Total imports in the January to May period hit 10.8 Mt, up from 8.2 Mt a year earlier.
