China’s Manufacturing Purchasing Manager’s Index
China’s official manufacturing Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) rose to 51.9 in March, up from 50.6 in February and the quickest pace of expansion in the last three months, data from the National Bureau of Statistics show. The index has remained above the 50-point mark that separates growth from contraction for 13 successive months.
Meanwhile, the country’s steel PMI retreated to 47.9, down from 48.6 in February.
