Thailand’s crude oil imports rise in February

Thailand’s crude oil imports increased by 104K b/d m-o-m and 95K b/d y-o-y to 893K b/d in February, according to data from Thailand’s customs department. Arrivals from the Middle East rose by 52K b/d m-o-m and 179K b/d y-o-y to 452K b/d, with imports from West Africa also increasing by 26K b/d m-o-m and 29K b/d y-o-y to a six-month high of 154K b/d. Shipments from North America jumped up by 47K b/d m-o-m to 109K b/d, a nine-month high, whereas imports from Asia tumbled by 54K b/d m-o-m and 85K b/d y-o-y to 84K b/d, the lowest level since May 2020.
