Brazil Steel Output Hits 30-Month High

At 3.1 Mt, Brazilian crude steel production rose by 59.3% year-on-year in April to hit the highest level since October 2018, data from Brazil’s Steel Institute showed. Production in April 2020 was significantly curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Output in the January-April period reached 11.9 Mt, up 15.9% from the same period last year.
