China Bauxite Imports by Source

Chinese imports of bauxite from Guinea reached 4.8 Mt in April, down from 5.7 Mt in March, but close to the same month last year, official customs data showed. China imported 8.7 Mt of bauxite in April.

Imports from Australia came in at 2.9 Mt, also broadly in line with April 2020. Indonesia supplied 1.0 Mt of China’s imports, half the year-ago total.
