China Steel Prices Fall

The Chinese domestic hot rolled band (HRB) steel price retreated to $788/t on 19 May, down 10.6% from a peak of $881/t on 12 May, latest data from World Steel Dynamics show.

Similar falls were seen for other steel products, with rebar dropping to $723/t on 19 May, down from $814/t a week earlier.
