Chinese Daily Crude Steel Output

Daily crude steel output at China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) member mills averaged 2.40 Mt during 21-30 April, up from 2.32 Mt in the preceding ten days to hit a new all-time high, according to data from the Industry association.

Production was 19.3% above the corresponding period in 2020.

Meanwhile, major steel mill inventories fell to 13.41 Mt in the period, a sharp 15.7% week-on-week fall and the lowest level since early January.
