Colonial Pipeline begins restarting branch lines following cyber-attack

Colonial Pipeline has begun restarting operations at some of the branch lines along its 2.5M b/d fuel transport system after being forced to shut following a cyber-attack on May 7, however it cannot yet restore movement through the main lines which ship oil products from the US Gulf Coast to the East Coast, Argus reports. While it is currently unclear when the pipeline, which stretches over 5,550 miles from Houston to New York, will be brought back online the company is currently developing a plan to fully restart the system, however this can only happen once fully compliant with all federal regulations.
