Indonesian Coal Exports Fall

Indonesian coal exports (including lignite) reached 34.4 Mt in March, down by 5.6 Mt year-on-year, data from Bank Indonesia showed.

Coal exports in the 1q21 reached 106.4 Mt, down from 115.2 Mt in the same period a year earlier.

Elsewhere, bauxite exports narrowly exceeded 1 Mt, but this was half the 2.0 Mt exported in the same month last year to bring total bauxite exports in the 1q21 to 2.9 Mt, down 2.0 Mt year-on-year.
