South Korea exported 7.0 Mt of steel in the 1q21, down from 7.5 Mt in the same three month period last year, data from the Korea Iron and Steel Association showed.  Imports hit 3.2 Mt in the same period, down from 3.6 Mt a year earlier.

The European Union exported 4.8 Mt of steel in the 1q21, down from 5.3 Mt in the same quarter of last year, data from the European Steel Association (Eurofer) showed. Imports meanwhile reached 6.0 Mt, almost unchanged from the same three-month period last year.
